On this page we lay down the definitions as we use them.

Key

we define a key as a SOFTWARE key. 

Such a key is unique and generated by a software algorithm and stored in our database. A key has to be kept secret and not published.
Keybuster can verify who is the owner of a key and who is permitted to use it.

A key is safe to use by one or more persons / applications and its purpose is to secure software / webpages from those that are not allowed to gain access to that key. 

Keybuster a key-provider that creates, stores and otherwise maintains your keys

Developer 

a (software) developer the creator and maintainer of 1 or more key(s). Could be an individual or institute or company; anyone who publishes keys through Keybuster.com.

Only registred developers can create and maintain keys

Client

the actual user of a key (could be a virtual user such as a program or website). Could be an individual or institute or company too.

Any client with internet access can place a request for a key.

Application an application can be a WEBPAGE or SOFTWARE

Webpage: an HTML document which has its own web address, or URL. 

Software: a program written in any programming language

Key group  identifies keys as a whole group. The relation could be 1:1 or many:1 relationship.
Key collection  a group of keys managed as if they were 1 single key.
Digest an unique number (characters and numbers) generated by Keybuster.com based on several criteria. This digest is the unique value for and from a key on which it can be recognized inside and outside Keybuster.com
